Fundraising

In 2023 the student council raised a whopping $10,000 for Albatross Nippers, our chosen school charity. A group of our brilliant student leaders organised to go and volunteer their time with the organisation at Nobbys Beach Surf Club. The Albatross Nippers is a nipper program designed for those children who live in the local community with special needs. This was a very impressive gesture by these students who made a lasting impact on a group of amazing young people. Albatross nippers is always looking for volunteers, if you’re interested look up their website or follow them on Facebook.

Music

Griffin Light-Law has been recognised for his hundreds of hours of volunteering helping young musicians in the Youth Music Venture organisation, as well as with young instrumental music students at Currumbin Primary School, where he volunteers three times a week during school terms.

Griffin started volunteering with the Primary School students when he was just 11 years old!

Thanks to Mr Justin Hart (Instrumental Music Teacher at PBC) for supporting and mentoring Griffin over these last 4 years. Mr Hart is an incredible teacher who goes above and beyond to make the Instrumental Music Program at PBC one of the best on the Gold Coast.

VICTORIAN SPEEDWAY SOLO 250cc CHAMPION

Jordy Loftus from PBC’s Future Stars Program has returned from the 2023 Victorian State Speedway Solo Titles as the 250cc Champion!

Off the back of the Australian Championships in Tamworth last weekend, Jordy made the long journey south to Undera Park Speedway for the 2023 Victorian State Solo Title to once again compete against the best riders in Australia. Despite this new track being a challenge, he claimed 3 Heat victories, entering the Final 3rd highest on points. Starting from the outside yellow gate he led from tapes to the chequered flag to claim the State Title.

We are so very proud of his achievements! ⭐️
