From the Exectuive Principal,

As we have now reached the end of 2023, I want to thank all families for entrusting your child’s education with us.  Our students have excelled across academic, cultural and sporting endeavours.  In the relatively short time I have been at our school I have been impressed by the students commitment to improve and achieve to their potential.  This is attained with the expert guidance of staff.

A few reminders in preparation for 2024:

• The first day for Yr7, 11 and 12 will be Monday January 22. Yr8, 9 and 10 will start of Tuesday January 23.  This allows our Care teachers to spend the majority of Monday with our new Yr7 cohort.  There will be supervision on Monday for Yr8-10 students on Monday if required.
• The mobile phone “Away for the Day” policy will be in force from Monday January 22.
• Families of current students have been issued with the 2024 Student Resource Scheme invoice. The invoice includes due dates and I ask you to adhere to these dates, otherwise this creates additional work for our finance team.
• Plan holidays for during school holidays to ensure maximum attendance
• Finally for students, enjoy the break, be safe, be active and return next year ready to learn.

From the P&C

P&Cs Qld is seeking feedback from school parents to help understand and clarify parent views in relation to the education system and services provided to parents and students by many P&Cs.

The SURVEY should take less than 10 minutes to complete and we encourage P&Cs to share the survey link with your parents through your communication networks.

The information provided will help us to better strengthen our ability to amplify parent voice as we advocate to Governments and Authorities on their behalf.

Completed surveys submitted by 15 December 2023 will go into the draw to win a free Marquee (valued at $1600) for your P&C and a $50 voucher for yourself!
