PBC Alliance Business Breakfast
On 26 May we held our Term 2 Business Networking Breakfast to a full house. Alliance Partner, Members, Friends, PBC Staff and Students Leaders enjoyed a delicious meal provided by our Senior Hospitality Students and Staff. The full buffet breakfast was a huge hit with guests raving about the quality of the food. Thank you to Bidfood for providing the produce for the breakfast.
Guests were able to listen to the inspirational story of Leisa Logan and her Fight 4 Youth project. Fight 4 Youth is an inclusive, multicultural youth centre, that supports a diverse range of youth and offers therapeutic-based programs through physical activities for people of all abilities. Fight 4 Youth aim to build confidence, self-awareness and acceptance through sport, mentoring and empowerment programs, as well as provide relief to young people in need and aim to promote the control and prevention of behaviour that is harmful to youth and communities, through programs, education and support.
After hearing from Leisa guests enjoyed an eco-documentary from Lin Sutherland, Producer Travel Wild TV. Lin was able to spend some time with our Senior Marine Biology students during their excursion to Heron Island earlier this year. The documentary can be seen on her YouTube chanel in a sneak peak, before it is released to a steaming service later in the year. To see the video click TravelWildTV@TravelWildTV .
Finally we heard from the OG PBC Alliance Partner/Founder, Ian Fraser from Fraser Financial Services about his connections to PBC and the importance of the Alliance for supporting our students.
