This was following a three day training camp with Champion Taekwondo, Bangkok, who have produced both National and World Champions. There were over 2000 competitors, 1800 of them fighting across two days. With 34 competitors in his division Tait won his first round fight progressing to the second round where he again won. Absolutely exhausted after a 3:00am QF battle, he lost to Pakasit WAIYAYOD from Taipei who went on to win Silver. This is an outstanding achievement for Tait in his first ever international competition.
